I would like to provide PHP via php-fpm and use proxypass for that, which
relays any requests for php files
to the listening FPM-Server, which then parses the PHP code, e.g.:
LoadModule proxy_fcgi_module ...mod_proxy_fcgi.so
LoadModule proxy_handler_module .../mod_proxy_handler.so

I maintain a 2.2 server and am building a 2.4 one. I have a file in a
sites-enabled directory containing all the directives I need to define
security for my open and password-protected directories. There is an
"include" directive in the master configuration file
/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf. httpd -t

If I place my cgi script in any site's root folder, it works perfectly without
including cgi-bin in the URL. So my server is processing cgi correctly. If I
