Hi Folks-
I am unable to find information in the docs and the archive. I have a
problem where I have a request that needs to be directed to a CGI hosted by
the webserver. At the same time I need to have that same request forwarded
to another instance of Apache webserver running on a different host
After some tweaking it worked, what I changed at my environment
1) added --with-ldap to configure httpd, as documented at
modules/experimental/README.ldap
The --with-ldap switches on LDAP library linking in apr-util
The --enable-ldap option switches on the LDAP caching module
./configure -

Is it possible to use an htaccess file to deny access to everything

Start by not being rude to all the other list subscribers. One such
request for help is more than enough.
Then read the bottom of each list message:

Hi, I'm trying to get reverse proxy working so I can move our webservers all to
1 IP address. The problem I'm seeing is this.
Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GETÂ /crm/eware.dll/go.

Solprovider,
Thanx for your persistence :)
regarding the HTTP/ 1.0 thing - i simply tried both configurations in the
Advanced section of IE's Internet options. btw, it had no impact on

Joshua,
Interesting, maybe I have always missunderstood these (suexec) conditions (12
and 13 I think).
Is the directory within the Apache webspace?
1.. If the request is for a regular portion of the server, is the requested
directory within suEXEC's document root? If the request is for
Why is the client sending "HTTP/1.0"? MSIE 6.0 and modern browsers
should be sending "HTTP/1.1".
Why does the response contain the Header "Pragma: no-cache"? That
implies something is telling the client that the graphic should not
depend on the cache. The JSP is probably setting the no-cache fo

Hi All,
I've been trying to improve my webapp's performance by telling Apache

I'm basically trying to avoid having the client browser resend the
