Hello
I see that in upcoming Ivy 2.3 there will be some support for OSGi
repository. Will it also support resolving dependencies from *.bnd
file or will I still need to specify every dependency in ivy.xml? I am
also new to Felix Sigil, but it seems it is supporting what I need.
What I need is a s

As Dominique's version needs a separate file with extra information
as well, I'd say it is fine for the algorithm (I prefer to keep it
pluggable) to pick up additional files.

Brian,
Tell me what you think of this idea--I don't know if I like it or not:
Instead of having a separate component.xml we could have an ant task
that we would place just under the
element in each build file.
Then in the build target we'd have:
(which we'll need whether we are using this appr

Maybe because what you want to do isn't that common at all. Or maybe
because it is that complex to do right.
I'm not sure I've understood what you are trying to do in detail, b
I find it strange there are no more mature solutions. Greebo is not
documented, Gump is better documented, but not as decent as ANT. I
haven`t tried ANTHILL or CruiseControl, and I don`t know if they support
the things I need.
I only need it for all my small utility projects at home (I have a l
Then good luck with Gump ;-) I've failed using Maven the first time I tried
it too, but had I not a specific situation where our use of native code
prevents me from using Maven, I would have tried again and again until it
worked. The fact that Maven downloads dependencies (including its own) thru
t
rsync, just is sloowww),
although that might not be a problem for you.
Really, Maven's what you're looking for. --DD
