I got a one to one reply from somebody.
My problem came from the fact that the host I was connecting to did have a lot
of messages echoed from the .bashrc
This was apparently confusing the scp command.

I manage to ssh to a host and execute commands on the host but it seems I
cannot do "scopy" to that same host.
