But I still can't run it outside the ant/apache.../bin directory. Not
sure why.

It seems as if it has the JRE path locked in instead of the JDK path.
How do I get Ant to see the JDK path? And why am I unable to run Ant
from other directories?

well. I also had, for my ANT_HOME variable the higher level Ant
directory rather than the apache-ant-1.7.0 directory, which apparently
was causing some problems. So, apparently, Ant was a bit confused about
where it was looking for stuff.
