DVD. The temp files appear to get about 160 MB and then disappear. In

I seem to be having an issue like this as well. I did a fresh install of
18.04 yesterday, and while the nvidia x server application states that
the discrete gpu is turned off, i have a hardware light on my laptop
that shows it to still be active, even though the nvidia x server
settings show the in
I reinstalled 16.04 and reinstalled nvidia drivers, and I was able to
properly disengage the discrete gpu under prime profiles.
This issue seems to only affect 18.04.

My LIRC was working with iguanaIR on a brand new install of 12.04. I
stupidly let ubuntu update, and it broke LIRC. After remove of LIRC, I

I might have manually edited this file but wouldn't have edited line
463, more likely line 9, although I don't remember doing this either.
Anyway I couldn't remove the package as it had errors (mentioned above)

To follow up, I did extensive testing on my new laptop (Thinkpad T61
model 7658-CTO).
I installed the following distros:
1) Mandriva 2008 Spring
2) Fedora 9
3) Debian Lenny
4) Debian Sid (upgrade from Lenny as this is the only way)

At least on my laptop, lspci reports the chipset version. I think its
probably consistent across their line. I think that solution is better
than none at all. Its disappointing to install an LTS and not have
wireless working on your laptop.

Looking at debian/binary-custom.d/xen/patch.001 there is a lot of work
to be done to support X86_64 Xen against the gusty kernel. The entire
patch being applied only applies to "arch/i386" and nothing even touches
the "arch/x86_64" tree.
This needs to be upgraded in severity.

Having similar issue with a FlyVideo2000FM card. Works in Warty and in

I've done some work on this myself and I've been hacking the kernel for
where the issue might be. I was able to get a working version with a
2.6.8 using a vanialla kernel on Warty so I'm comparing what the patch
set was back then and compairing everything the alsa and
drivers/video/saa7134 modules
Also having this issue with Intel Nuc NUC5i5RYK with Fedora 34. Worked
before on KDE.

worked great for me. I installed the first kernel, booted into it, had
dpkg try again and everything worked. Booting back into the regular
kernel was a snap
f the Ubuntu installer (called "Ubiquity").

OK; here you go. I installed, rebooted and grabbed the files and those are
in "After reboot". I then installed again and got the files while still in
the live USB session; those are in "Before reboot". I never ran
Boot-Repair for either.
