In the newest 8.04.1 release the wireless interface is no longer
detected. So the issue has changed.
The following drivers do work, and should be included in the next
release after testing it seems:

I don't see the rtl8180 driver in the linux-backports-modules-hardy
package:

Public bug reported:
Can connect to an open wireless network fine in Gutsy, but if I try to
connect to an encrypted network the whole system crashes. The computer
must be hard-reset. The machine is a gateway ml3109, with wireless
chipset Realtek RTL 8185L. It's nice that it's at least pseudo-suppo
I haven't actually tried WPA, I'm using WEP and that crashes it. Other
people are experiencing the same issue, I'm not sure if they are using
WEP or WPA. I'll contact them and have them add their experiences to the
bug posting.
Just to elaborate, the encrypted networks are still found, but crash i
like.

This now works for me in 2.32.0.
One thing I noticed, however, that I'm not sure is a bug:
If you drag and drop onto a zip archive that does not have a ".zip"
extension (e.g. "archive"), file-roller will create a separate file
("archive.zip") rather than updating the file you have open. Not sure
Same issue. Doesn't prevent me from booting, it will recover from the
error, but when I plug in my external monitor I sometimes get this error
and it can't recover. need to reboot.

When trying to add a file to a JAR archive via both drag-and-drop and
the menu's, it silently fails. If I rename it to .zip and then try it,
it works.
