Thanks for your suggestion. However, Feisty Herd 5 desktop CD does not cure the
problem. I see this bug is still classified as "Needs Info, Low importance". I
don't think there is any more information asked for. As I understand the bug
can now be classified as a "real" bug. I also think its

I just downloaded Feisty Fawn Herd 5 Desktop CD. It seems to show
exactly the same behavior as 6.06.1:
Boot without options: USB ports do not work. WLAN card is recognized by
the system.
Boot with acpi=off: USB ports work. WLAN card is NOT recognized by the
system.
