I'd like to add my voice to this request.
The current version (beta1) crashes scanning my larg(ish) photo directory
(approx. 55GB). A known issue that is (according to the release notes) fixed in
beta3.

I have the same issue with up-to-date karmic, WRT54GL router, and WEP
encryption (using WEP passphrase).
I'm now going to enable karmic-backports, and see what happens...

A tip from the kernel bugzilla comments:
iwconfig wlan0 power off
This switches off power management for the driver, and for me solved the
issue.
Anyone know how to make sure this is always set? I've now put the

Fairly recent 13:04 install, upgrade run using update-manager -d.
got the above error. Will try to dpkg-reconfigure initramfs-tools before
reboot, and pray it comes up...

It turned out that a 'touch' version of initramfs was being used.
Uninstalling that (aptitude remove --purge initramfs-tools-ubuntu-touch
) didn't work, but
export FLASH_KERNEL_SKIP=true
before doing a dpkg-reconfigure initramfs-tools was successfull.

need access to templates. The templates are not available in any dialog
or in the sidebar.
