confirming this bug (gedit v2.26.1) related problem with other german umlauts like ä, ö, ü a search for "ä" and replace it with "ä" replaces "Ä" too. the same shit with ö and ü. in my HTML-files gedit replaces the "a" of "colspan" too with "ä". this editor is absoluty not unusable for german webs

same prob here. using lenovo's T61 (centrino vPro, CPU: C2D T9300, GPU: GMA X3100, OS: intrepid @ x86_64). i'm very sure, it's a flash-problem. the error occurs when i visit flash-sites via firefox and/or when i start zattoo (P2PTV, this tool needs flash!). IMHO the crash come casually. -

bug already exists in gedit 2.28.0 (karmic) search for ä replaces ä AND Ä with ä this couldn't be a feature. the bug with ß couldn't i confirm in 2.28.0. it seems to be faultless. same with the colspan-problem. IMHO only german umlauts will not handle case-sensitive. -- Search/Replace with germ
