create the cache (does the parent directory exists? are the rights set
correctly?) or the cache file gets deleted. Try to use the verbose
option or check the logging.

I'm connecting to freenode on ipv6 and every 3 hours the client
disconnects and reconnects again. I thought it was an ipv6 issue but
when testing with xchat, xchat stays connected.

It looks like your patch has, just like mine, a problem with tags. If
you submit your tags, they get added with a # in front. I also didn't
got the categories working but I may be overlooking something.

If you install dovecot-postfix, you don't have to change anything in
/etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf to make authentication working. If you do the
modifications to the client-section, dovecot even doesn't restart anymore.
