Except gnome sound panel applet has no effect.
I have sound working (hda-intel). Totem/xine all work.

avarice works with the AVR-Dragon. The avarice.rules file
should have another entry of the form:

Shouldn't this file be down in /etc/udev/ru

I'm up to date on all Ubuntu changes. Tryed to empty email trash several
times. Received an error message on some attempts. something about
syncronizing files. Re-booted and still didn't work. Trash shows 645 deleted

This bug initially manifested itself when I tried to empty trash. It
now shows up when fetching mail. At times I receive the same email
several times. Is Ubuntu a real program or do I have to go back to
Windows so if there is a problem it gets fixed. The mess with email is
