Using live CD to install 9.10. MD5 ok. Error appeared during installation
process.
I used manual partitioning and EXT4 partitions on a HP DV4 laptop (four
partitions and all are primary: /boot, /, /home, swap).

I have the same problem. HP DV4-2148, fresh ubuntu 12.04 install.
Installed fglrx. the laptop does not shutdown. It shows ubuntu with five
white dots and just hangs forever.
