i had the same problem with alsa at shutting down, i had to wait 3-4 minutes to reboot or shutdown. i tried the same thing with the network manager. Before rebooting/shutting down pc i switched to offline mode from the network manager and it shut/rebooted normally without any problems. -- shutdow
