I can print to connected printers via net (laserjet), via USB (deskjet),
and via parallel (deskjet), but HP-Device Manager reports "No installed

I used an *Hardy* Kubuntu Live CD on the same computer, and the webcam was
recognized by default. The picture under Cheese was correct with proper colors.
Possibly interesting note: The picture was color correct ONLY as long as the
light was rather dark. As soon as the camera looked into
indeed I am using an existing backend, and several frontends, with back-
and frontends having gone through some changes from feisty to intrepid,
and always worked.
So, what is different with jaunty? Do I need to change settings on the
jaunty frontend? or on the intrepid backend? and if on the latt
