Just to clarify, the problem is happening to me in an Alix 2D13 board
with an atheros AR9280 mini-PCI with latest lucid packages(I aptitude
update/full-upgrade yesterday)...
I downloaded the latest compat-wireless source, built the modules and
the problem goes away.

I enabled karmic-proposed and installed the qemu-kvm and kvm package
from there. The problem goes away and my VMs are ok for 8 hours from now
with virtio in network interfaces.

I was running a kvm host with 5 virtual machines using jaunty. 1 running
centos 5.4, 3 running karmic and 1 running hardy.
I upgraded the host to karmic to test it and one of my virtual
machines(the vm with hardy) crashs after some seconds of boot! I
so, we have a patch, why this is still not working?

Apparently there's a problem on postinst script trying to kill a process
that does not exists on all ubuntu.

I'm having the same problems using an ALIX 2D13 board(x86). I removed
ureadahead package and the problem goes away.
