hi leann,
i have finally found the time to test again. the bug is gone in intrepid, but
it is still there in hardy kernel

since hardy is LTS, i strongly opt for putting this in one of the next
kernel updates. effectively this bug causes data loss. i have a patch,

i tried to load them all with no effect, as far as i can tell. (nothing

thanks leann for your suggestions. i just tested 2.6.24-1. i'm sorry, but
2.6.24-1 does not fix the problem. it persists just as before.
creating hard links links works fine (the link count is updated correctly).
deleting any file with multiple links sets the link count to 0 immediately

i just tested a kubuntu-KDE4 hardy aplha. apparently the kernel for
hardy uses ata-drivers for my chipset (again). this is a good thing, as
my disk now spins up correctly after resume. from my point of view the
bug can be closed. thank you!
