I got 10+ MB/s from my fileserver to my laptop which i will have to say

It also affects my xubuntu 8.04B fileserver. The network is unbearably
slow, probably at most half as fast as it should be. Can't seem to get
the r8168 to build either:S guess I'm missing some package(s).

It seems i have the same problem. The card worked fine in debian after
compiling my own drivers.

where GDM is. It has been this way since I installed lucid lynx from the

1) have a window of some program open and not minimized
2) open liferea
3) press alt+f4 to minimize liferea
4) open liferea again (with the launcher bar or a terminal)
