I fear, this bug has arisen again:
This morning, I freshly installed xubuntu 9.10 and updated it using the Update
Manager.
Then, I removed firefox-3.5 and installed opera using the Synaptic Package
Manager.
Following the instructions on https://help.ubuntu.com/community/OperaBrows
I apologize for my late reply.
Gecko Mediaplayer works in Opera 10.10 Build 4742 on a Linux platform
using a i686 system and 2.6.31-19-generic kernel.
