I have recently installed 9.04 on an older P3 machine that I have an
nvidia GeForce FX5200 video card. Everytime I load the nvidia
proprietary driver 173, which is recommended, the system reboots and
sometimes will allow me to log back in and sometimes just goes to a
blank scr
Is the driver available on the Ubuntu site or the nVidia site. When I go
to the nVidia site and pull up my particular video card for Linux OS 32
bit it give you the 173.14.XX file to down load as the proper driver.

What a fascinating bug!! My wife has complained that open office will
never print on Tuesdays!?! Then she demonstrated it. Sure enough,
won't print on Tuesday. Other applications print. I think this is the
same bug. Here is my guess:

yes it works fine in vista, but in ubuntu even when very close to the
router it sits at about 20-30% signal and at the farthest point which is

with Hardy and file sharing. My home network if fairly complicated - I have a
seanix pentium 4 1.5gb ram dual harddrive which dual boots xp / ubuntu. My new
desktop = dell amd dual core 2gb ram dual boot vista/ubuntu. I

I remove python-openal and install this package:

the thing is, that I've already tried setting those timeouts. And there
was no result at all. The "lookup" time didn't change.
Wouldn't it be a lot more intelligent in libnss-ldap to do a *one-time*
check if the LDAP server is reachable, and if not there's just no
output. Just something simpl

It's definately an Thunderbird indexing problem. I have the same problem
occur regularly with Thunderbird on Windows (2.0.0.19). Seems to occur
mostly (for me) with IMAP folders that are set to be available for
offline use. Deleting the .msf files, or selecting Re-index from the
folder properties f

I was not in the "Organize Bookmarks" just in the pull down tab. I
expected the bookmark to drag to the folder, however, the whole computer
