But for the first one, I can't get it working, so, I tried you workaround
in PXE conf but no way, it doesn't work for me for a fresh 9.10 i386
desktop install.

I fixed the problem by deleting the content of the directory
/home/User/.gconf/desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard
that is automatically recreated at the start up, if does not exists,
with the default configuration.

Where can I find this 2 upstart files?
I have also tested a sleep of 10 sec before starting rpc.gssd, which also
helps to solve the problem mostly.
The problem here was a started rpc.gssd with wrong or no credentials (missing
network connection at start of rpc.gssd).(mount was denied by server)
May be a additional flag "-e" has some influence?
I use this flag to prevent gssd from blocking the entire system when an users
krb-credential has expired to restore the old behavior.
This was needed since OpenSuse 11.4 and also for Ubuntu 12.04. (due to some
changes in the kernel as I remember.)

get my VPN connection (which used to work under Hardy) to work with the
new network manager.

does an oops and the device. It previously showed up as a drive on my
desktop. The Archos Jukebox uses the ISD 200 chipset for its USB

For me, the OpenOffice fonts are not kerned properly. The letters run
into each other. BTW, these are the fonts in the chrome, not the
document. However they are no longer blurry like Firefox. I remember
that OpenOffice fonts used to be blury around the time that this ticket
was opened.

I can confirm that this continues to be a problem with me. Firefox
version is 3.5.3. I'm attaching an image of the fuzzy fonts. No other
program (not even thunderbird) shows fonts like this on my karmic
machine.
While the fonts shown in openoffice are uglier than the remainder of the
programs, the
This is a real bug. I just upgraded to karmic. Previously in jaunty all
the fonts were sharp. Now after upgrading. The chrome (ie: the menu bar,
tool bar) fonts in firefox is blurry. This is clearly visible from the
screenshot attached by Keidson.
It's as if firefox is not respecting the subpixel

Same problem here, I've just installed a fresh Ubunbtu 18.04 and updated the
system.
My network will not resume after suspend.
