Public bug reported:
I'm using ubuntu Hardy Heron. Everytime I want a oo-file from my Western
Digital Netcenter ( reached by SMB), I get the message that the file is
damaged. Open Office is able to repair it. But it is very annoying. With
files saved in my home-directory the problem doesn't occur.
Hi,
Yanick made a good point. In my case the files are also stored on a
Windows server. A Western Digital netcenter.

generates corrupt OpenOffice files when stored on a Windows server.
I hope this helps you finding the solution.
Thanks.
