I think this bug is more important than medium.
For million and million of laptop owners with the intel pro wireless (wifi),
many of them kill wifi (to reduce power battery for example)
After installing edgy, many of them have seen their system hangs during boot.
(include me...)

This patch gets out of the "while", so i think it will work but the question is
what is the thermal sensor on wifi ?
and is it bad that it is not working fine? I have not much problem with the
wifi, few disconnection but sometimes, strange behavior.

after a ctrl + alt + backspace X server reset, and after a new 5 hours (or
more) use of gutsy with compiz =>only 33.3 mb used of memory by compiz.real

i see some bugs in feisty with this driver after some suspend/resume.
wifi dead, led black, one cpu at 100%, freeze of keyboard, mouse ok, but not
possibility to reboot with mouse command, and no ctrl alt backspace (keyboard

I have this bug too on edgy , i have a lapton dell inspiron 6400.
I guess the problem is the wifi (ipw3945).
If I desactivate the wifi (in the bios or with the hotkey), edgy load normally.
If i let wifi open, edgy crash at the middle of loading with the error "soft
lockup detected on cpu#o"
