S3 might be OK for LiveCDs, but I think HAL should disable hibernate on
the LiveCD. It does not make sense for individual applications to decide
whether hibernate is available, this really needs to be done in HAL,
also for consistency reasons.
That also holds true for the buggy hibernate case.

Doesn't look like it's powermanager-related, but that acpid wants to suspend
your machine. Maybe it's

(i.e. the necessary interface for cpufreq is added), powermanager will display
current frequency.

The lines starting with "action" use tabs (but as you state, there is
some inconsistency in the released code as well (it's fixed in SVN
already, that's also why I double-checked).
I do not understand your rationale, however. For example:

cpu frequency policies. Instead, we decided to offer dynamic (basically
what ondemand does), performance and powersave. I think adding
"conservative" would be confusing to the user.
