Public bug reported: I had thought this was related to bug 277709/282855 , but the released fix did not solve my issue. If I turn on desktop effects in KDE4 w/ OpenGL compositing type, X will crash fairly quickly. XRender does not cause the same crash, but the effects are no where near as smooth

sleep.sh is suspend to RAM hibernate.sh is suspend to Disk I've had no problems with either, but I do miss my buttons. Also, if you have a laptop and right click on the power meter (Kubuntu) there are options for suspend & hibernate there, but I haven't tried these. -- suspend option gone after
