The nohz=off option fixed the freeze problem for me, as well the acpi=off
option.
After a clean install, intrepid was freezing very often, especially when
launching programs (from text editor to oowriter...).
No it does not freeze, even if oowriter still hangs during loading.

Hello!
I confirm the problem on a fresh ubuntu 9.04 64-bit installation, after having
added a ntfs driver in the "monitored folders" list. The driver was
automatically mounted by modifying the fstab file with the following line:
/dev/sdb1 /media/Dati ntfs-3g defaults,locale=it_IT.UTF-8 0 0
For me the problem is the following:
every additional additive rule behaves as a removing rule.
For this reason when I have only one rule the search works fine, if I
add a rule more the search results decrease significantly.

I have noticed this problem since Ubuntu 9.04. Actually, I have not found any
way to change "EnableWatching" parameter other than editing tracker.cfg.
It would be great if a control will be added into tracker-preferences UI.

Same problem as fburolo for me too.
I run Raring 64bit upgraded from a fresh install of Quantal.

I have exactly the same problem, with the same card (GeForce 7300 LE).
Using 173 driver solves the problem, but this driver has some bugs in
managing the dual screen configuration. So, please, fix the but with
current-driver ASAP!
