I have just confirmed the headphone jack problem is still present with
the latest alpha (3) of Kubuntu. I am only running the livecd so I am
not sure if the fix still works or not. I do get sound out of the
headphones still

To get the sound working on my p105-s6177 all i did was follow the steps
listed above. However when it says to make a custom dsdt file, i just
used one i found made online for our satellite model. So i followed all
