When tkinter and a text widget the method edit_modified does not work
correctly. As I tried to read the status of the text widget (if it is
modified or not), it gave the following error:

As a workaround you can get the status by calling:
print root.tk.call('eval','%s edit modified'%self.textwidget)
where self.textwidget is the variable where the text widget was assigned
to.

reproduce:
1) In an emtpy directory type "touch a b; mkdir x"
2) Do: "ls -l"
3) Then: "export LC_COLLATE=C"
4) Again: "ls -l"
5) Expected was that directories are outputted first but nothing changes.

After an upgrade from 12.04 to 14.04 I got a scared with the message
"suckit rootkit detected", too. rkhunter does not find anything. Here is
the MD5SUM of my /sbin/init
c9b343f85e6804e2d7ee70b810b1a15a /sbin/init
which is the same as found in /var/lib/dpkg/info/upstart.md5sums.

sorry for keeping you in the dark. What I meant is the following
1. please blacklist the usb_storage module
2. as root (or use sudo): "rmmod usb-storage"
3. Plug in an USB stick
On 11.10 the USB stick would not be detected and on 12.04 the module is
loaded nevertheless and the stick
After I did some checking it seems that the package is correctly
installed (the new indendation model is used). I do not know why this is
not working... Sorry.

Usually you need to run mkinitrd then modules are not loaded while booting.
But when you plug in an usb stick it is loaded nevertheless. Could you

I can confirm this problem, too. Apparently this is caused by problems in
parsing the /etc/gshadow information. It is fixed in Debian, see their bug
report:

There is no libclamav6-dbg package for Natty, I only found clamav-dbg
but no further output was visible. I ran "catchsegv freshclam" and got
