I had same problem, looking at main.log revealed that ubuntu-desktop
package was not installed, what caused dependencies being broken.
After installing ubuntu-desktop, release upgrade was OK.

Using latest version of Gwibber (currently 2.30.2) does not fix the bug.
Debug log at gwibber startup is attached.

I thinks youj meant launch ubuntu-bug for getting logs with mainline
kernel ? Because I already tested with mainline kernel:
2.6.35-999-generic.
I've rebooted, and I'm currently using mainline kernel, I'll see if the

have updated the report using command:

Using guest session, I can't log to twitter account because of a problem
in gnome-keyring (see attached file named gwibber_guest_bug.log)
I have tried using a new account named "Dodo" with full privileges, and
I get the same behaviour as on my session (can't write any message).

I would be glad to help you, but currently, I don't see what I can do for make
this behaviour repoducible elsewhere than my computer.
Perhaps you could check yourself if I give you Gitso (VNC) account on my PC?
If you have any other idea, I listen. I'm going to reboot the PC to see

I have an ethernet cable from my computer to the modem of my ISP.
I don't think the network connection is concerned by this bug because
messages can be successfully sent, but I can't edit them. For exemple,
when I want to retweet a message, I get "@dest:" automatically added,
