I bring good and bad news.
The good news are that my broadcom are not finished. I've installed
Windows XP SP2 and everything is OK. My brother is using it and after a
bunch of reboots, still working...
The bad news are that Ubuntu still not finding the broadcom.
I'll try the installation of Wubi

Well... I heard that this issue is only present on Kubuntu, not in Ubuntu... So
I did a fresh install of Ubuntu but didn't work...
The answer? Broadcom is toasted out...
I called HP and they that it's normal (normal?!?!?!)...
So I suggest you to try Ubuntu or another distro.. Or even Windows (I

building a laptop with hardware conflict...
Please... Someone tell me that I'm wrong...
I will do more tests with another windows flavours and see if I can make

I've booted the LiveCD again and again and had errors all the time - X
not start, blank screens, empty desktops... After some time found the
source of problems - the CD reader. In the terminal 1 (press
CONTROL+ALT+F1 during the startup) there always a lot of "SQUASHFS read
error".
I installed the
Empathy is showing this bug again at current version.
I have a fresh install of karmic from alpha 6, up to date.
Indicator applet shows a gray icon, and all status change is disabled.

I have the same problem here.
I have a n97, and I just can't use it as a modem if I'm using gnome-bluetooth.
Blueman works as expected.
As gnome-bluetooth is the default option available on karmic, I see that as a
HUGE usability problem.

1 - copy file /var/lib/gdm/.gconf.defaults/%gconf-tree.xml to another place
(just a backup)
2 - boot from a LiveCD ou USB
3 - copy file /var/lib/gdm/.gconf.defaults/%gconf-tree.xml over the original
