adding a Webcal-Path to Calendar, Tasks or Notes works fine, but when I
try to create a new event in the Calendar to this Path, evolution says '
... is a writeprotected calendar', which is not true, since I may use
sunbird to add events to this

When I put a Bandwidth-limit in Edit -> Options -> Network, Transmission just
takes the limit and uses 10-20 kb/s more than I said. E.g. when I say "Limit to
40 kb/s upload", Transmission tells me he would use up to 60 kb/s for upload.

I use Ubuntu 8.10, and I am allowed to write at this server (thunderbird
is able to write, too)

I installed grub yesterday at my laptop (acer Extensa 5630ez, works fine so
far), and after rebooting the installer. grub hung with "File not found".
During system installation, I selected manual partitioning and took a seperate
/boot as sda1 / (h
