Ok, tried to install Gutsy from the "official" Canonical CD and it fails
during install, as above. Even in safe graphics mode.
This on a Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600, with Trident Cyberblade graphics
card. A card, if I may say so, that worked out-of-the-box since the 2006
LTS version.
My only hope
I can confirm this issue. Install goes well without any warnings or
errors.
Starting the application from the menu does nothing. When starting it from the
shell it fails with the following error:
Gdk-ERROR **: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter)
serial 104 error_code 9 request_co
