I am also using the xserver-xorg-video-intel from the jaunty proposed repo.
I've been fine over the last 24 hours under normal usage with compiz
enabled and using mostly internet, videos, some wine. N

I was able to connect to msn but my status was forced to hidden and I
was not able to change it. I was able to talk to people, and they told
me I was appearing offline.
