Hi,
It seems the package `pam-u2f` should be simply removed, as it is
unmaintained and provides the same software as `libpam-u2f` (which is
the correct name, according to the Debian convention).
(For information, I maintain libpam-u2f, libu2f-host and libu2f-server
in Debian)

This has been fixed, along with a number of other issues, in the Debian package.
I attached the relevant patch, but you might want to consider tracking the
upstream Debian package.
