Hello, I'm with a HP DV5 1073 on Intrepid.
My wireless card is:Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 5100 AGN
[Shiloh] Network Connection.
And i'm currently using the kernel: 2.6.27-8.

I'm using a HP DV5 1073ez and I have exactly the same the same problem.

And i also think that it is better to correct the bug in the kernel

Nope the probleme doesn't come from the nvidia driver (although the behavior is
not exactly the same)
I've tryed 180.17, 180.22 without different kernel version and I still have the
same problem.
I have a HP DV5 1075ez , centrino 2 P8600, nvidia 96000M GT.

I confirm the bug!
For example it is impossible to compile the new OpenCV (2.0) with the non-free

1- Upgrade to lucid
2- Remove nvidia drivers (to see if it affect boot speed)
3- Install nvidia "current" driver (190)
Then bug appears launching amarok (and i remove it by doing
cd /usr/lib
sudo rm libGL.so.1
sudo ln -s nvidia-current/libGL.so.1 .

I uninstall the driver using synaptic and install it using jockey (System >
Admin > Hardware Drivers).
I know that is not the best way to do it but at least i can start Amarok

I've a HP dv5 1073ez and I've installed the last Bios update F16.A.
The suspend now works correctly for me and I still have some cracking on
reboot.
However, my bluetooth module completely disappear from windows (device
