Hi, i'm also experiencing the bug in jaunty. I've made a clean install
of jaunty a few weeks ago in my ubuntu xps m1330. The segmentation fault
happens with and without desktop effects.

Hi, it's me again. I just downloaded kicad from its homepage and, as
it's recommended there, i installed the files under /usr/kicad. If i run
that installation of pcbnew, i can see the 3d render.

Scott, I've downloaded lucid alpha 2 live cd and tried it in the same
machine I've mentioned before (xps m1330, intel video). I still get a
segmentation fault whenever I try to see the 3D view (with or without
desktop effects).

3D view in pcbnew or the component selector (cvpcb). I did this in my

I've experienced this bug since installing jaunty (kile 2.1). This
didn't happened in kile 2.0. I've upgraded to karmic and it still
happens to me with static word wrap. I'd try to explain it.

reproduce the bug in karmic. Did you read it? I tried to explain the
issue but if it's not clear I can try better.

I installed 64-bit karmic yesterday in a brand new intel core 2 duo
E7500. I needed partimage in order to backup a NTFS partition, and
