Hehe, this is a funny one. Running on unity-3.6.4-0ubuntu1 I can

I have been holding the full functionality of the folders section back a
bit because The Right Solution (TM) requires new API from Zeitgeist.
For the Zeitgeist hackers: Id really much like a
ResultType.MostPopularOrigin for the folders section in Unity.

I am thinking that this can probably be solved be adding some
appropriate stanzas to the menu file data/unity-place-applications.menu
I am installing in /usr/share/unity/menus... How do you do this
elsewhere?

My thought was that libgnome-menu already toXDG_CONFIG_DIRS into
account, and I just needed to add some XML declaration to the .menu file
in order for libgnome-menu to scan the default dirs (which I think I
already am).

Looking at the UNE .menu file it seems to me that it would be quite
tricky to create the Unity .menu file via simple Merge directives based
on the standard Gnome one. It rather redefines some of the groupings
making this quite tricky. So instead I tried porting the UNE .menu
override by hardwiring
