The floor() function results in an error of "#NAME?" in any cell it is
used in. Other functions, such as sum() seem to work however. I did
not attempt an exhaustive search of functions which do and do not work.

I've come up with a temporary solution that meets at least my needs

anyone know if the Herd3 is stil being made available? If not, I guess

One other interesting point. I didn't make this clear in my earlier
posts, but it looks like you may need to use the new manifests and
squashed filesystem with the files from the herd3 iso (rather than with
the files from Feisty final iso) to get it to work. I tried using the
exact same manifests

recent version of Feisty from Feisty Herd3. I am using the Gnome
desktop. If I run a locate, however, it appears that this libjli.so

I copied and pasted text from Westlaw.com on firefox to OOo. The text
had a lot of hyperlinks in it, and it made OOo run slowly. The crashes
occur with no warning, and no immediately apparent cause. Everything
restores just fine afterwar

laptop (Toshiba Satellite P100 - full keyboard, so I use the number pad

gui I can connect but the mouse fails to work. The cursor moves 2-3
inches then freezes. I installed Elliots binaries and removed the mouse

Just a thought - and I am the first to admit my limited knowledge - but
maybe it is not completely the code that is shutting down the system
that is causing the issue. Maybe the more recent version of upstart is
somehow creating a system state that is not created by the earlier
version of upstart.
I have the same problem when trying to run WoW on my 64 bit computer
(which I run through aoss). I think there are two problems here:
* '/usr/$LIB/libaoss.so' should really read '/usr/lib/libaoss.so'

dmsetup, hal, libdevmapper1.02, and volumeid to be held back. So, I

As best as I can tell, it looks like persistence may actually be working

I've been wanting to try reverting to some of the Herd3 packages myself,
but hadn't had a chance to try it until last night. It seems that that
approach may or may not break something, depending upon what is done.

ubiquity packages to the version used by feisty herd3 and I tried to
additionally revert udev to the herd3 version of udev.
This did break the distribution (it hangs on boot when executing the

I am experiencing this lock up too in Feisty. I agree with Dan Lenski
that it happens when sending data. An easy way to reproduce is to ssh to
the machine containing the card and then cat /var/log/messages.
I am willing to ship my card to a developer that is willing to fix this

semi rounded buttons and the other it was very generic GTK butttons.

I just took the latest kernel 2.6.31-17-generic and again had to apply the
hack I listed above.

Hi,
Ubuntu Lucid x86_64 here. I experience a similar problem with all sites.
No problems with Windows Vista on the same machine. It takes tens of seconds to
connect to google (i got 6 Mbit/s cable connection).
The problem in my case is in the ISP's NAT that works differently with Linuxes.

I can confirm that turning off "available to all users" allows it to reconnect
and that sudo restart network-manager cures most issues either way.
