The problem occurred in both packages 8.10 and 8.04.
The startup is slow, very slow.
It occurred after the installation of 8.10 (I do not know if after the upgrade
or not). I reinstall the 8.04 version, which worked well until the system
update, then the problem happen just

I use a Acer Aspire 5610 with dual boot for ubuntu 10.7 and windows xp sp2.
With the first I'm feeling, after a brief use, strong pain in my eyes. The same
thing is not happening on MS windows.
This is, against my wishes, migrate agains to the not open sourse os.
