This was unexpected today...
Pretty old bug... I haven't done an OEM install since I reported the bug so
I cannot really update this bug. But I know that when the OEM install
created the new user I was unable to access sound or mounts without root.
Problem is probably in /etc/skel but I

This is a strange one - I loaded the oem ubuntu install and did apt-get
install kde kubuntu-desktop - and after I did oem-config-prepare and
rebooted it didn't record my username and password, I would have had to
start over, save for the recove

Regardless of what is happening in Jaunty or others, I find this issue to be a
MAJOR inconsistency in Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 LTS ... I believe it deserves
attention as it is a continuing problem for LTS users ... Having to reinstall
vino every time I want to change a password, or use command line uti
