it is by design.
It just made problems because after some time of working on the Xubuntu
system I had several instances of the taskmanager running without
recognizing until the taskbar become overwhelmed with monitor symbols in
a manner that I must recognize.

I have used Software-Cener to install "krdc". On this and a following
search for "remnia" Software-Center popup a error dialog for telling
that krdc has missing dependences. The detail view of the error popup
gives only back a emty list. Apport catched this crasher following.

On Ubuntu13.04 Raring 64bit I have hit this with just closing the morse-
simulator tutorial file
/usr/share/morse/examples/tutorials/tutorial-1.blend
which was openend direct with blender without any further usage of
morse.
