I find a way to reproduce the issue (I have an Italian installation so I try to
translate the windows labels):
- I start an Hardy Heron 8.04 live CD
- by default Bluetooth preferences are "other devices can connect" in the first

I want to extract audio stream from a vob file:
cat VTS_01_1.VOB | tcextract -a 1 -x ac3 -t vob > audio.ac3
but the result is
tc_memcpy: using sse for memcpy
and audio.ac3 is 0 bytes.

I forgot to say that the system in which I have found the issue described is an
Hardy Heron x86 but if I test the same command in Hardy 64 bit I have:
tc_memcpy: using amd64 for memcpy

I launched the command

I did some tests and the problem seems related to the fact the vob is not in
the format that devede expects to be a dvd compliant file. In fact you have to
extract audio and video streams, from dvd, separately (I did this with mplayer
from command line) and the authoring process runs ok.
So the
I too have this issue: in every 3gp file I can hear no sound with totem (ubuntu
x86-64).
If I open the video with totem and choose properties I cannot see any audio
properties (these audio properties are in gray) but, obviously audio is present
in the file.

@Pedro, I tested the issue in Intrepid Ibex as you asked to me and the
problem is also present in the f-spot version installed in Intrepid.
