ScottK from the #Ubuntu-Motu channel at irc.freenode.net instructed me
on how to remove this from your system:
-- open a shell
cd /etc/init.d
sudo gedit g15daemon
insert "exit 0" in the second line
save and quit.
Now you can remove the package:
sudo apt-get remove g15daemon

I suspect the bug only exists when using large x-y shadow offsets. Try
zeroing them at the decoration plugin in compizconfig-settings-manager.
Check the screenshot and try setting the same values on yours.
That solved the problem in my PC. Good luck

Go into system, preferences, mouse and untick the locate mouse box. That
should stop the mouse from being located when the ctrl key is pressed.
Surprisingly, the media keys should also work again!

Michael, I already did in the previous post.
I solved my issue by doing a fresh install from Hardy's Live DVD. The
installation process went flawlessly and I was able to preserve all my
desktop layout by manually partitioning the hard drive and importing
user settings.

Nautilus can't automount its partitions (though it will if I turn it on
AFTER logging in).
