Problem solved using SonicRecordNow Software for writing CD(probably uses a
slower speed to copy the image). Ubuntu rocks
I used the ISORecorder by downloading it from the links on ubuntu site and used
the default speed settings (48 somthing).

I am also getting the same errors. I just purchased a dell inspirion 1525 and
trying to install Ubuntu 8.10.
