1-Download ans install uswsusp and hibernate
2- edit this file /etc/uswsusp.conf with this content
resume device = /dev/sda2
splash = n
compress = y
early writeout = y
RSA key file = /etc/uswsusp.key
shutdown method e= shutdown

I don't understand. I know this is a bug tracker , but ¿ what's the
meaning of a bug tracker if you can't post the solution to it? I guess
it's better to wait to the next Ubuntu release and see how the bugs
remains because nobody has a solution to it or nobody have even tried to
fin

I tried your commands and suspend works but hibernate does not work
unless you modify /etc/uswsusp.conf like in step 2 of my solution. It
also happens that when I type s2disk this message appears:
s2disk: Could not lock myself. Reason: Cannot allocate memory
Despite this message
matches the swap. Gparted will tell you that.
After this try to hibernate and tell me if it works.

When I said attach the output of the command, I meant attach it as a
file...
Anyway, I had the same problem as you months ago and I fixed it by downloading
and installing uswsup, so type
sudo apt-get install uswsusp
After that, you have to edit the /etc/uswsusp.conf file with th
matches the swap. Gparted will tell you that.
After this try to hibernate and tell me if it works.
