After closing the lid the notebook went to stand-by but didn't wake-up properly
since I didn't get the login window which asks for the password. It just gave
me a black display with switched on backlight.
I was able to change the display brightness in that state but I wasn't

Kernel Update to 2.6.31-20 fixed it for me. No need to temper with
gstreamer.
I'm using Bios revision 10B. Maybe that is the reason for it working for some
and not for others?

The camera works with Cheese without a hitch.
lsusb shows that the USB-ports continue working after activating the camera via
Fn-F6 and a mounted USB-stick keeps on working, too.
Although If I remember correctly the camera once did this even before I

I tried to create a file with the following name: Directive 2009/38/EC
It failed and I wasn't able to use an escape sequence like a backslash.
I think this answer is not sufficient. As far as I know Konqueror or
Dolphin allowed a slash-character in filenames some time ago when I was
using them.
I suppose they did use the fraction slash (Unicode 0x2044).
Why not changing the slash to the fraction slash automatically instead of
