It would be easier for the user if, when using the LiveCD and managing
to get working the lan/wifi card, the new system installed kept this
settings. I have done this in the installation of Dapper and I had to
reconfigure the settings when entering in my new installed system.

I was installing Dapper on a PC with Windows(1 partition)+OpenSUSE(3
partitions). I wanted to install Ubuntu in the space that were occupied
by OpenSUSE but I didn't want to mess with partition creation so I made
the following:
1. Begin installation.
2. The partition options
Upstream bug is https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=684876
(although it shouldn't be filed upstream if we confirm that it was a
packaging bug ;) )
I've proposed the bug reporter to verify the fix. I'll test myself too when I
have some spare time soon.

That looks like a Mono bug, what version of Mono are you running? If
you're running any version lower than 2.10.x it would be nice to check
if the bug is gone when you upgrade to 2.10.x.
