i am using karmic amd64 with all updates installed and the nova-t stick
(mt2060 hardware) it shows the same errors. With 8.04 everything worked
(after installing v4l & firmware) I would be happy to help with any more
info you need (proposed kernel etc, different firmware etc)

Upgrade to 2.6.28
thats from jaunty:
$ xev | sed -n 's/^.*state \([0-9].*\), keycode *\([0-9]\+\) *\(.*\),
.*$/keycode \2 = \3, state = \1/p'
keycode 200 = (keysym 0x0, NoSymbol), state = 0x0
keycode 200 = (keysym 0x0, NoSymbol), state = 0x0
i'm sorry its no regression from jaunty, i used 8.04 for a long time, i
for me, this is a regression from jaunty, i just tried the livecd and
everything works fine:
plugged in from the start: detecting/connecting works
suspend/resume: detecting/connecting works
plug out/plug in again while sys is up: detecting/connecting works
so no problems under jaunty!

it. I am still working to get the 3g modem right with karmic, but i
