and privoxy in /etc/rc2.d like so:

Interestingly enough, if you load gnome-do via gnome-terminal and your
home directory is the current working directory, loading the Home folder
works. The same goes for Alt+F2. Therefore gnome-do cannot open the Home
directory when it autostarts with gnome.

I am experiencing this problem. 10.04 A2 amd64 takes ~40 seconds to

This may be a bit late, but I have a fairly similar problem. I have wine
installed and when I want to set the default program for a pcap file
(used with Wireshark), I see around fourty listings of "A wine
application" and 10 listings of "Adobe Photoshop CS2" as well as "hh"
(whatever that is).

In the .xsession file I posted, there are multiple programs that crashed
with the same error. I locked the screen right now and was able to
unlock it just fine. The crashing seems to be entirely random and
sometimes occurs when the screen is not locked. Perhaps the video
drivers are crashing?

I'd like to have some form of visual recognition that I've typed in the

For some reason libdbusmenu-glib0 was being held back. When I tried to
force its upgrade through synaptic it wanted to remove ubuntu-desktop
and some indicator packages. In a terminal I ran "sudo apt-get -f
install libdbusmenus-glib0", it upgraded and upgraded the packages it
wanted to remove (say
Plymouth now works, but if I press a random key on the keyboard,
plymouth terminates. Plus I no longer have compositing in gnome, but
that's obviously something different.
