I see what you mean, but here it doesn't affect functionality at all.
There's just that added little button in the panel for a bit and the

I am also having this problem.
I am almost positive it is not a router issue but an ISP issue. My
reasoning is this. When I use my ISP's dns wget will not work. However
if do wget -4(which forces ipv4) it does work. Further, if I switch the
DNS server in /etc/resolv.conf to a ipv6 capable DNS serv
So is anything being done here? I can see two possible (easy) solutions:
1) Simply use gksudo in the .desktop file to necessitate root privs to run it
2) (probably better) Integrate policykit into it for those functions, since by
default, normal users can't kill/re-nice other users' procs

I see that the numlockx package is not working for me - I'm using Ubuntu
8.04.1 under LTSP - the thin-clients do not seem to see the '55numlockx'
script in /etc/X11/Xsession.d/ -- Just wanted to note that. I'm using
Gnome, not XFCE or KDE, and this is happening. My users all have
numbered usernames

Since vte-1:0.17.2-0ubuntu2, Ubuntu has been applying Heath Caldwell's
patch to add an alternate_screen_scroll property /
set_alternate_screen_scroll function. However, no definition was added
to expose these to the python binding. Applications utilizing the python

I rebuilt the Ubuntu python-vte bindings with a definition for the
set_alternate_screen_scroll method. Using the rebuilt module, calling
set_alternate_screen_scroll (True) gets the correct behavior. Ubuntu VTE
bug filed: LP #348708 (patch attached).

Assuming the VTE patch is accepted, here is a patch against r710 to
implement the option in Terminator.

When I upgraded Intrepid to Jaunty beta, the wicd package was removed.
Additionally, the network-manager gnome applet did not start on reboot,
so I lost wireless access. I restored wireless access by plugging into
an ethernet cable and installing wicd.
